COVID-19 Relief
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a worldwide catastrophe. In India, many poor families lost their means of livelihood and were not able to survive.We provided these vulnerable people with dry ration and hygiene kits to ensure their survival. The following were the groups of people we targeted :
We extended our support to 35 families below the poverty line who depend on daily wage from coolie (luggage carriers) work.
We distributed rice, dal, cooking oil, vegetables and soaps to 25 poor migrant families at Bheemadevarapally Mandal, Warangal Urban District, who have lost their livelihood due to the ongoing national lockdown announced by the Government for India as part of COVID-19 prevention.
As part of our COVID response, we distributed food, masks, hygiene kits and snacks to health workers in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
At the onset of COVID-19, fifteen children from Karunalaya had no one to take care of them.
We provided them with a supply of drr ration and food materials.
